Greetings!

Dear Visitors,

I will be graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington in December with a B.A. in English with a Secondary Teaching Certificate in English. I love living in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and I am excited to have many wonderful school districts to choose from. As a student at UTA, I will have the opportunity to student teach at one of the following seven school districts:

•Arlington Independent School District

•Birdville Independent School

•Dallas Independent School District

•Duncanville Independent School District

•Grand Prairie Independent School District

•Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District

•Mansfield Independent School District

I don’t know where I will be assigned for my Internship (Spring 2005) and my Residency (Student Teaching Fall 2005). I would be pleased to have the opportunity to work in any one of the seven districts. There are also many other districts in Dallas-Fort Worth according to Discover DFW that offer a variety of education environments and employment opportunities. There are so many different districts to choose from, I don’t even know where to start looking for employment.

I know that with over 100 school disctricts in DFW, I can find a fantastic job at a fantastic middle or high school teaching English. I have wanted to teach school since I was a little girl. I remember playing in my dad’s classroom when I was growing up. I used to stand up in front of his room and pretend I was a teacher while writing on his chalkboard. Teaching is a dream of mine that I am finally making true.

My passion is English but there are so many areas to choose from. I would love to teach Grammar, Creative Writing, Reading, World Literature, British Literature, American Literature, Young Adult Literature, Contemporary Literature, Poetry, History of the English Language…the list goes on and on. I can’t decide what I want to do once I begin working. I LOVE ALL OF IT!

I am glad you came and visited my website! I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to look back over a challenging and rewarding teaching career that lasted a lifetime.

Thank you,
Robyn Russell
